2018 Community Hanukkah Festival

An invitation from Rabbi Courtney Berman, Rabbi S. David Kane, and Rabbi Zev Sonnenstein:

Dear Friends,

On behalf of many of the Jewish people in the Volusia-Flagler area, we would like to express our gratitude the compassion and support you have shown the Jewish community in the wake of the tragedy in Pittsburgh.

Your sympathy, empathy, respect and love have meant a tremendous amount to all of us.
Judaism remains a faith that affirms life and celebrates the gifts that our Creator has given us today and throughout history. It teaches us the importance of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world and embracing each other, differences and all.

We warmly invite you and your faith community to come join us at our Hanukkah celebration at The Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach, Sunday December 2 nd from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm. There is
no admission charge.

There will be traditional games, popular children’s characters from animated movies and TV
shows, a gigantic community wide circle dance (no experience necessary), a concert by
internationally acclaimed Jewish musician Sam Glaser, and the lighting of the Hanukkah light for the first night of Hanukkah.

Please let one of us know if you and/or your community will be able to join us. Together, we can show that violence will never stop people of faith from celebrating our relationship with our Creator.

May the warmth and glow of the Hanukkah lights shine bright in Solidarity, Love and Peace.
